What “S” and “T” Stand for in Screen Printing Mesh
“S” and “T” Stand for mesh thickness
“S” and “T” is two kind of different Organization labeled of mesh.
“S” usually express by Daneal, it is woven by thin wire diameter. And comparing with “T” type mesh. The surface of “S” mesh is fluent and thickness is a little thin, which is suitable for fine decorative pattern printing with little inks. This is a common useable wire mesh. And used in light fabric cloth. Compareing with “T” type mesh, its opening rate is also higher because of its thinner wire diameter.
“T” type mesh is woven by thicker wire diameter. This kind of fabrics have lower opening rate. The surface of the mesh is rather crude. And the mesh cloth is much thick, but its tear strenth is a littler higher. The “T” type mesh suitable for mass and thick fabric printing. The thickness of “T” type mesh is thicker 1/3 than “S” type mesh. So it is specially used in printing fabrics which need more inks, such as white coating/goild, silver coating and high tensile water-based paint materials.
