Stainless steel wire mesh in water filtration

The stainless steel wire mesh acts as a particulate impurity in the water trapped in the filter. When the filter has a certain size of stainless steel wire mesh filter cartridge, its impurities are blocked. When cleaning is required, the detachable filter cartridge can be taken out and reloaded after processing. Therefore, it is very convenient to use and maintain.

After filtering, it takes 4 stages. First, the initial stage of filtration, the impurity particles are deposited on the surface of the stainless steel wire mesh as the fluid passes through the screen medium, and the intercepting and diffusion mechanism is mainly at this time. At this point, a continuous layer of particles has not been formed and the pressure drop loss is small.

The second is the intermediate stage of filtration, gradually forming a continuous filter layer, namely the filter cake. At this point, the filter pore size is reduced, and the dust deposition interception effect is greatly improved. The filtration efficiency rises sharply and the pressure difference rises rapidly.

The third is the filtration stabilization stage, which mainly relies on the filtration and screening of the filter cake. The screen acts to form a filter cake and support reinforcement, and the filtration mechanism at this time is mainly sieving. At this time, the pressure difference changes slowly, and the relative intermediate phase is approximately unchanged.

The fourth is the filtration backflush stage. As the filter cake is continuously thickened, it needs to be cleaned online. Achieve recycling of the filter. At this time, the dust removal efficiency decreased slightly. This completes a filter cycle.

The performance evaluation of stainless steel wire mesh filters includes three aspects. That is, filtration efficiency, pressure drop, and residual pressure drop. The filtration efficiency is the ratio of the mass of the filter outlet to the mass of the filter inlet. The pressure drop is due to the deposition of particles on the surface of the stainless steel wire mesh. When the pressure drop reaches the preset maximum value. The filter needs to be cleaned and regenerated. The residual pressure drop is due to the inability of some of the deposited particles in the filter media to be removed after filtration and regeneration
