The chemical formula of 201 is 1Cr17Mn6Ni5, and the chemical formula of 304 is 06Cr19Ni10; the main difference between them is nickel-chromium element, 201 is 17 chromium, 5 chromium-nickel element also contains 6 manganese elements, and 304 is 19 chromium elements and 10 nickel elements; So they cause many differences in color, corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, toughness and so on.

In terms of color, since 201 stainless steel contains manganese, the color will be darker than 304, and 304 will be whiter.

In terms of corrosion resistance, since 201 contains manganese, it will rust in a humid or salty environment for a long time, and 304 does not rust because it does not contain manganese.

From the acid and alkali resistance, 201 has a small content of nickel, and the acid and alkali resistance is not as good as 304.

From the toughness, the toughness of 304 is better, 201 is harder than 304, and the experiment is done with a hard knife. After the surface of 201 is scratched, there will be obvious scratches, and the surface of 304 will not have obvious scratches.
