In some certain application, there may has some particular demand for the mesh thickness, now cylinder rolling will be a good choice. cylinder rolling is used in stainless steel wire mesh industry sometimes, which is a treatment that roll the mesh to reduce the thickness, and the aperture will have change in some degree after rolling.
The cylinder rolling methods for mesh with high mesh count and mesh with low mesh count are different.
For mesh with high mesh count(higher than 150 mesh count), it is something like calendering. After cylinder rolling, there will be great change in gloss on the surface.
For mesh with low mesh count, it is relatively simple. It is physical cylinder rolling to let the mesh go through two heavy round rollers.
