Stainless steel mesh manganese and nickel

Stainless steel wire mesh has a lot of chemical composition, and manganese and nickel contained inside are not familiar to everyone. The alloying element that promotes the formation of austenite is the sturdy nickel.

The austenite formed at high temperature can be maintained at normal temperature, and the effect of manganese on the corrosion resistance of steel is not significant. This is because manganese has little effect on increasing the potential of the solid solution electrode, and the protection of the formation of the oxide film is low, so Austenitic steel (7Mn15Cr2A13V2WMo, 5Mn15Cr8N), I5Mo3V2, 40Mn18Cr4, 50Mn18Cr4WN, etc. used in the industry, but can not be used as stainless steel wire mesh, so it is not stainless steel mesh.

The full use of manganese instead of nickel in stainless steel mesh can not solve the corrosion resistance of stainless steel mesh. This is because chrome-manganese steel should obtain complete austenite. In addition to the appropriate content of chromium and manganese, the carbon content should also be considered. When the carbon content is low, it is difficult to obtain a complete austenitic structure. If the carbon content in the steel increases, the corrosion resistance of the steel will decrease. In addition, after the chromium-manganese stainless steel is heated at 500-800 C, the crystal of the steel Intergranular corrosion resistance is very low. The addition of titanium and niobium does not reduce its sensitivity to interparticle corrosion.

Therefore, according to 18-8 chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel braided, manganese and manganese replacement or simultaneous addition of manganese and nitrogen for the replacement of all nickel, and low nickel stainless steel screen and nickel-free stainless steel wire mesh, such as 12 cr17mn6ni5n (201), and 20 cr15mn15ni2n, used for screen replacement of nickel manganese and nitrogen. There are also 26Cr18Mn12Si2N, etc. National standards have been accepted and applied, and some can replace traditional 18-8 type chromium-nickel stainless steel mesh, such as 10Cr17Mn9Ni4N, 20Cr13Mn9Ni4, with Good atmospheric corrosion performance.

The above is the introduction of the combination of manganese and nickel in stainless steel wire mesh.
