Stainless Steel Mesh And Stainless Steel Filtration Mesh Are Different

The difference between the two: stainless steel mesh is made of mulberry silk, metal wire or synthetic fiber and other raw materials, the surface has uniform and stable venting holes, industrial fabric with screening and filtering. The mesh of the stainless steel mesh is customarily called. The specifications of the stainless steel mesh are often expressed in terms of the number of holes per unit length (mesh) and also the width of each hole. As the name implies, the filter is the abbreviation of the filter. The wire mesh group of different meshes supported by the sieve plate before the extruder material is used to filter the melt flow and increase the flow resistance, thereby filtering out mechanical impurities and improving the mixing. Or the effect of plasticizing.

The two have commonalities and differences. Whether in stainless steel mesh or Stainless Steel Filtration Mesh, stainless steel mesh and stainless steel mesh are the most widely used. The precautions for both are the same:

Because the hydrochloric acid in the air near the die of the extruder head can corrode the filter, when the PVC material is being squeezed, the bare filter should not be placed on the extruder head. The best practice when extruding PVC is to install a fume hood above the die and make sure the spare filter is placed away from it, even after it has been bagged and placed in the freezer. When purging and cleaning the protective plate, it is easy to cause the stainless steel mesh filter to rewind, causing the sealing surface to be damaged and the sliding surfaces to be mismatched, thereby causing leakage. This will not only cause cleaning time, but also the leaked molten material may affect the thermocouple value, damage the heater, and sometimes even cause fire.

For a single-exhaust, two-stage extruder, if the back pressure at the filter becomes larger, the second stage of production will be reduced, but the first stage of production will not be affected. When the back pressure is increased to approximately 2500 lb/in2 (1 lb = 0.4536 Kg, 1 in = 25.4 mm), the molten material from the first stage begins to leak into the vent. To avoid this, be sure to replace the filter when the pressure is low. In addition, the gear pump behind the filter device also prevents the molten material from leaking into the vent hole. If the filter is filtered into large pieces of debris (such as paper), it will suddenly fail completely, which will quickly bring the pressure of the extruder filter to a peak. Therefore, in order to prevent this from happening, there must be a safety system such as a safety diaphragm, a safety pin or an alarm connected to the pressure gauge.

Stainless steel mesh and filter applications are becoming more and more widely used, so care must be taken during use so that they can be used for a longer period of time!
