What are the advantages of twill weave stainless steel mesh than plain weave?

We MAISHI Wire Mesh supply high quality stainless steel mesh. Plain weave and twill weave are the common weaving types of it. Now let us see what’s plain weave and twill weave and the advantages of twill weave.
The plain weave :
The warp wire, which establishes the length of the stainless steel mesh passes over one and under one weft wire. Weft wire, which parallels to the wire mesh width passes over one and under one warp wire. The diameter of warp wires and weft wires is same. Plain weave is considered to be the most stable mesh form and used in many applications throughout manufacturing industry.
The twill weave:
Each weft wire of the twill weave stainless steel mesh passes over two and under two warp wires and each warp wire passes over and under two weft wires. The wire diameter for warp wire and weft wire is mostly the same. As a consequence of the woven path, the strand is deformed less during weaving. Commonly used if with a given opening a thicker wire has to be used or if the cloth has to be flexible for deep-drawing.
Compared with plain weave, the advantages of twill weave stainless steel mesh.
· Twill weave mesh allows larger diameter wire to be used.
· The density of the twill woven wire cloth is bigger than the plain weave woven wire cloth.
· The filter performance is more excellent than the plain weave.
· The tensile is higher than the plain weave woven wire cloth.
· It has better wear life than the plain weave woven wire cloth.
· It has stronger structure than plain weave.
