The most detailed introduction of stainless steel wire mesh

The unit price of stainless steel wire mesh is relatively high. Once deformed or damaged, it will have a great impact on customers. So how do we maintain it and what measures should we take before shipment? There are many types of stainless steel wire mesh, but according to the number of meshes, it can be divided into high mesh stainless steel mesh and low mesh stainless steel mesh. Depending on the classification, the maintenance measures taken are different. The high-pore stainless steel mesh has a smaller mesh size, and the size of the holes is generally invisible to the naked eye. And the net is thin. It can be easily damaged if it is not properly maintained during transportation. In view of this feature of stainless steel wire mesh, we need to take measures: insert the stainless steel wire mesh into the paper tube when the paper tube is wound into a roll, which can play a good supporting role. However, since the mesh with a low mesh number is relatively thick and self-contained, it does not need to be inserted into a paper tube during the roll forming process.

Stainless steel wire mesh has good corrosion resistance, high temperature oxidation resistance, good low temperature performance and excellent mechanical properties. Therefore, it is widely used in the screening, filtration, chemical filler, petroleum sieve and other industries under acid and alkali environment conditions. Its main function is to prevent corrosion and rust. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel wire mesh mainly depends on the passivation film on its surface. If the film is incomplete or defective, the stainless steel will still be corroded. Pickling and passivation is a treatment method commonly used in engineering to make the stainless steel's corrosion resistance potential greater. Surface oil, rust, non-metallic dirt, low melting point metal contamination, paint, welding slag during forming, assembly, welding, welding inspection, flaw detection and other stress tests and building signs. Surface quality equipment and components, damage the surface oxide film, reduce the overall corrosion resistance and local corrosion resistance (including pitting, crevice corrosion) of stainless steel mesh, and even cause stress corrosion cracking. Stainless steel wire mesh surface is cleaned, pickled and passivated. In addition to maximum corrosion resistance, it also prevents product contamination and aesthetics. Surfaces of containers made of stainless steel wire mesh and composite steel plates with anti-corrosion requirements shall be pickled and passivated. This is used for filtration in the petrochemical industry, as these devices are used in direct contact with corrosive media. From the guarantee of corrosion resistance and corrosion resistance, it is necessary to provide pickling passivation. For other industries, if it is not for anticorrosion purposes, only stainless steel materials do not need to be passivated according to cleaning and aesthetic requirements. However, the welding seams of stainless steel equipment also need to be pickled and passivated, and the stainless steel wire mesh passivation film is repaired to improve its rust resistance.
