Surface quality and heat treatment of stainless steel wire mesh

The surface quality of stainless steel wire mesh is related to the heat treatment. If the thickness of the oxide scale on the surface of the stainless steel mesh is not uniform, the dissolution of the external oxide scale during pickling and the degree of corrosion of the base metal of the scale adhesion site by acid are different. Will affect the uniformity of the appearance.

Therefore, during heat treatment and heating, it is necessary to uniformly form oxide scales. To achieve one-to-one, the following conditions are involved. Attention should be paid to the following: assuming that the surface of the workpiece adheres to oil during heating, the thickness of the scale on the oil attachment site and the oxidation of other parts. The skin thickness and composition are different and carburization occurs. Carburized parts of the base metal below the scale will be severely corroded by acids.

If the oil droplets ejected from the heavy oil burner during initial combustion are attached to the workpiece, the influence will also be great. The fingerprint of the operator is also affected when it is attached to the workpiece. Therefore, the operator should not directly touch the stainless steel parts with hands, and do not allow the workpiece to be covered with new oil. If the surface of the workpiece has lubricating oil attached during cold processing, it is necessary to degrease it thoroughly in a trichloroethylene degreaser and caustic soda solution. Rinse in warm water and then heat-treat.

Assuming that there are sundries on the surface of the workpiece, especially when organic

matter or ash is attached to the workpiece, the heating will of course affect the scale. The appearance of stainless steel in direct contact with gas or oil flames is different from the oxide scale produced locally. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent the processing member from directly contacting the flame mouth during heating. If part of the treated part has residual scale before heat treatment.

After heating, there will be differences in the thickness and composition of the scale with the remaining scale and the area without scale, which will cause uneven appearance after pickling, so not only pay attention to the final heat treatment, but also pay attention to the intermediate heat treatment And pickling. The effect of different finishes.

If the surface finish of the stainless steel wire mesh is different, even if the same surface is heated, the scale on the rough surface and the fine surface of the stainless steel screen will be different. For example, in some places where the defects are sorted and unfinished, the conditions of the oxide scales are different, which causes uneven appearance of the workpiece after pickling.
