Will the 304 stainless steel wire mesh rust?

304 stainless steel contains nickel and has a density of 7.93 g/cm3. It is also called 18/8 stainless steel in the industry. Has good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties. Corrosion resistant in the atmosphere, if it is an industrial atmosphere or heavily polluted areas, it needs to be cleaned in time to avoid corrosion. Suitable for processing, storage and transportation of food. Has good processing properties and weldability. Plate heat exchangers, bellows, household goods, building materials, chemicals, food industry, etc.

The material of the 304 stainless steel wire mesh also determines its chemical properties to some extent. We need the following methods to detect it.

1. Identify whether the stamped material “304 or 0Cr18Ni9” is printed on the pipe surface, and ask for the manufacturer's quality certificate and quality assurance certificate.

2. Tested with acidic reagents. After 30 seconds, the material of 304 stainless steel does not change color, and the 201 stainless steel product turns black.

3. Look at the outer surface, such as the inner wall of the stainless steel tube, whether the color is bright and smooth, the thickness is uniform, or there is a rough phenomenon.

4, can be tested by spectroscopy

304 is a versatile stainless steel that is widely used to make equipment and parts that require good overall performance (corrosion resistance and formability). In order to maintain the corrosion resistance inherent in stainless steel, the steel must contain more than 18% chromium and more than 8% nickel. 304 stainless steel is a grade of stainless steel produced in accordance with American ASTM standards.
