How does the corrosion resistance of stainless steel wire mesh come from

We all know that stainless steel wire mesh has anti-corrosion function. It is affected by some factors. The content of alloying elements, generally speaking, the content of chromium in 10.5% steel is not easy to rust. The higher the content of chromium and nickel, the better the corrosion resistance. For example, the content of nickel in 304 material is 8-10%, and the content of chromium is 18-20%. Such stainless steels generally do not rust.

Stainless steel wire mesh has anti-corrosion ability. The manufacturer added chemical elements chromium and nickel during production. The stainless steel wire mesh of different materials contains different amounts of elements. Therefore, the general choice is 304, 316 two materials more.

The smelting process of the production enterprise will also affect the corrosion resistance.

A large stainless steel plant with good smelting technology, advanced equipment and

advanced technology can guarantee the removal of impurities and the control of the billet cooling temperature, regardless of the control of alloy elements, so the product quality is stable and reliable, the internal quality is good, and it is not easy to rust. Conversely, some small steel plants have backward equipment and processes, and during the smelting process, impurities cannot be removed, and the products produced will inevitably rust.

The corrosion resistance of stainless steel wire mesh is better, so it is also very common to use it in water. But if you choose on the material, it is recommended to choose 316 or 316l.
