Because of the difference in nickel content, 201 stainless steel is not as good as 304 in corrosion resistance and acid & alkali resistance. And because the carbon content of 201 is higher than 304, so 201 is harder than 304, with a bit of steel, it is easier to crack, and the toughness of

Since 201 contains manganese, it will rust if it is wet in the long-term and salty air, but 304 will not rust.
