What are the differences in the wire mesh of 201 and 304 stainless steel

Wire mesh of 201 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel can be distinguished by naked eyes when put together.
First, let's look at the chemical composition of the two materials:
201 stainless steel chemical composition:
 C: ≤0.150, Si: ≤1.00, Mn: ≤8-11, P: ≤0060, S: ≤0.03 0, Ni: 0.9-1.5, Cr: 15-17, N: 0.200, Cu: 1.5-2.
It can be seen that the 201 stainless steel wire mesh contains high manganese, and the surface is very dark with brightness. Because of the high manganese content, it is easy to rust.
Stainless steel 201 is an alternative to Ni-saving steel grade and 301 steel. After cold processing, it has magnetism and is used in railway vehicles.
304 stainless steel chemical composition:
C: ≤0.08, Si≤1.00, Mn: ≤2.00, P: ≤0.045, S: ≤0.030, Ni: 8.00-11.00, Cr: 18.00-20.00
It can be seen that 304 contains more chromium, so the surface is matte. Because 304 stainless steel wire mesh contains nickel, it is not easy to rust.
304 stainless steel wire mesh is widely used in the production of corrosion-resistant and formability equipment and parts due to its good heat resistance. At present, 304 stainless steel wire mesh has been widely used in food, chemical, atomic energy, and other industrial equipment and decoration fields.
